MFF Programme Coordinator Steen Christensen and WI-Indonesia Programme Director Nyoman Suryadiputra concretized the agreement by signing a contract effective October 2013 to July 2015. The agreement lays out the Scope of Work for a new set of MFF Small Grant Facility projects, as well as various activities involving the National Coordinating Body of Indonesia.
The contract-signing ceremony was held at the National Development Agency (BAPPENAS) Jakarta office, and was presided by the Indonesia NCB Chair Mrs Sriyanti Wibisana. Also present were new National Coordinator Ms Fini Lovita, BAPPENAS officers Mr Tommy Hermawan and Ms Setyawati.
The new programme for MFF in Indonesia will focus on developing a strategic approach for the implementation of small grant facility projects, in particular using the resilience approach. The National Strategy and Action Plan of Indonesia will still guide the prioritization of project areas, but will be more refined using a site-specific situational analysis that will be developed using the resilience analysis protocol being applied across MFF.
Indonesia, like Bangladesh and Viet Nam, is a Danida-supported MFF country focusing on mangroves and climate change.
