MFF-Maldives invite pre-proposals from non-government organizations, private sector and community based organisations to address the coastal ecosystem issues through our medium projects (US 50,000-USD 100,000) to be completed within 24 months interventions.

MFF Maldives invites interested NGOs, academia, private sector and community based organizations to submit pre proposals to address coastal issues as outlined below, through our medium grants between US$ 50,000 to US$ 100,000 to be completed in 24 months. Objectives of the MFF Programme

The MFF goal and objectives contribute towards conservation and restoration of coastal ecosystems as an essential part of the coastal development infrastructure. The objectives are of two types:

Objective 1: Aimed at conservation and restoration working directly through actions

required to manage coastal ecosystem sustainable, equitably and effectively.

Objective 2: Aimed at strengthening the broader frameworks that influence people’s

investments and actions,

 

MFF Maldives Priority Areas of work for 2013:

 

1. Support coastal livelihoods initiatives that are both sustainable and help to maintain natural ecosystems

2. Improve the resilience of coastal communities through coastal ecosystem management and

3. Increase awareness of the economic value of coastal ecosystems and use this to prioritize, promote and support coastal conservation and development actions
